Sometimes, suppressing the emotions becomes synonymous with healing them.
Other times, it’s become the only way to feel anything at all.
Pain, Joy, Guilt, Anger, Relief, Peace…
All somehow feel entrapped within the next bottle.
No matter what I seek to feel,
The cloud of shame shades me endlessly.
